Generalist and specialist music teachers should be able to share their own enthusiasm for music and awaken a passion for music in learners.

The website shares learning content to help the teacher to understand music, the processes of music making, and what learners will do in order to learn about music. You will also find ideas on how to unpack the musical context for learning in the different levels of understanding (Foundation, Intermediate and Senior phase).

Our approach focuses on sound before theory, and if you cannot yet read and write music, you will also be able to develop your own musical literacy.
